Help Maur Hill - Mount Academy become an outstanding Catholic prep school.

The Key to Success is You

Maur Hill - Mount Academy has educated young men and women for decades. Today, this quality Benedictine education continues to be a key ingredient for future success. However, the costs for a valuable high school education continue to rise. So how do we provide in this challenging economy? By turning to those who know firsthand how a Maur Hill-Mount Academy education prepares you for success in life.

Are you willing to make a sacrifice so that this special educational experience is possible for the next generation? Will you be the one who leads the way?

There are many ways you can help. Let us share five special ways to give:

1. League of St. Maur

For years, the late Fr. Edwin Watson, OSB could count on a large number of friends and former students to support our school by joining the League of St. Maur. It’s time to bring it back. YOU have the unique chance to be one of the founding members of the new league. The annual membership for the League of St. Maur (Knights and Ladies) will support campus-wide improvements, unfunded scholarships, and yearly expenses.

League of St. Maur membership levels:

Platinum Level $5,000 per year
Gold Level        $2,500 per year
Silver Level      $1,000 per year

The League of St. Maur Dinner will take place on Saturday, September 20th, 2014. See more information.

2. Student Sponsorship

You know the difference a MH-MA education can make. Yet, there are many students today whose families are unable to afford the cost of a private, Catholic school education. Our hope is that YOU can be the one who makes a Benedictine education possible for someone in need. Support levels range from $100 to $21,000 per year.

3. St. Scholastica Society

We all want to leave a legacy, a gift that will benefit future generations after we are gone. However, most of us face real limitations on what we can contribute during our lifetime. By leaving a bequest or naming Maur Hill – Mount Academy as a beneficiary in your will, you can leave a larger legacy than you ever thought possible. For the long-term viability of MH-MA, remembering Maur Hill – Mount Academy in your will provides a bright future for students. Anyone who names MH-MA in their will is inducted into the St. Scholastica Society. These gifts not only support our mission as a Catholic preparatory school, but also create a continuing remembrance of your values. We want to achieve excellence in everything we do: academics, athletics, faith, reputation, and our students’ future success. Make a difference to a program or project of your choice and leave a lasting legacy that you can be happy about. Please let us know how we can assist you in your long-term planning. If you have questions, please contact either Phil Baniewicz or Cathy Murphy at 913-367-5482.

4. President’s Circle

For MH-MA to rise to a new level, a small group of committed people is needed to help the president move the school forward. The annual commitment of President’s Circle members will go towards new initiatives that build the campus environment, improve academic outcomes, and help retain high-performing faculty. Membership in the League of St. Maur is also included for President’s Circle members. Membership is $10,000 or more per year.

President’s Circle membership includes:

Regular recognition in all MH-MA materials, special invitation and privileges at all home athletic events, membership in the League of St. Maur, annual mass remembrance for your intentions, listing at the entrance of the Fr. Edwin Watson Academic Building, first invitation for attendance at all MH-MA activities, remembrance in a special Mass offered the first Friday of each month, private invitation to the annual League of St. Maur dinner in Kansas City each fall.

5. Endowed Student Scholarship/Faculty Position

Some gifts are meant to leave a legacy. Establishing an
endowed fund allows MH-MA to continue educating for a
lifetime. Endowed gifts provide security over the long term by expanding the school’s financial base and creating a predictable source of income for such things as student scholarships and faculty positions. Endowed gifts are also a wonderful naming opportunity for a loved one. The minimum gift amount to endow a student scholarship or faculty position is $15,000.
